A pilot checklist for QR-to-phone digital concierge

Starting a digital concierge pilot without chaos: room QR → guest phone (Avant), staff board (Porte), and CMS stay info — a short checklist hotels can verify. Soft next step: support@concierge-avant.si.

A digital concierge pilot fails less often on technology than on unclear rollout. Rooms get a QR, the desk is not sure what still belongs at the counter, and stay info drifts because nobody owns the update path. Before you scale, you need a short list you can check on the floor — not a brochure promise.

Start with the guest path. Confirm that the room QR opens Avant on the guest’s own phone, and that stay info, hours, and routine steps such as check-in or check-out sit on that same path. Phone-first is the default; hotel-owned tablets are optional hardware, not the story of the pilot.

Then verify the staff side. When a guest asks for something that still needs a person, the request should land on Porte where the team can see and move it — not on a sticky note at reception. One CMS source keeps every room QR current; a pilot that reprints binders when hours change is not ready to grow.

Keep the checklist small enough to walk in an afternoon: QR scan works on a guest phone; Avant shows the right stay content; Porte receives a test request; a CMS edit updates every room without reprinting. Pricing stays simple if you want it on the table — €0.25 per day per room, capped at €7 per room — but the pilot itself is about ops clarity, not a sales deck.

If you want that checklist walked through for your property, contact us or write to support@concierge-avant.si.
