Reaching in-house guests with one update

Pool closures and breakfast changes often live on a lobby sign guests miss. Put one update in Alerts on the guest’s phone in Avant so in-house stay info reaches the room — not only the corridor.

The pool closes for two hours. Breakfast shifts to the terrace. A lift is out until afternoon. You print a notice for the lobby, tape a sheet by the lifts, and hope guests see it before they walk downstairs. Half never do. They learn at the door — or at the desk, where the same explanation starts again.

That is not a communications failure of effort. It is a channel that only works for people who pass the sign. Paper in the corridor does not follow the guest into the room. Verbal handoffs at check-in go stale by day two. The desk becomes the loudspeaker for every house change.

Publish the update once where in-house guests already open the stay. A room QR opens Avant on their own phone; Alerts is where a short house notice can sit next to the rest of the stay guide. You keep hours and house facts current in the CMS; every QR reflects the same source. Guests who scan for breakfast times or services can also see what changed today — without another trip past reception for news that belongs in the room.

You are not replacing a calm human explanation when something is complex. You stop treating the lobby board as the only place the building speaks to people who are already staying.
